Quick start
This guide takes you from sign-up to a live, bookable tour. Plan on 30 to 60 minutes. The setup checklist on your dashboard follows the same steps and ticks each one off as you go.
Before you start
Have these ready: your business name, a logo (PNG or SVG), one tour with a few photos, its prices, and the email address you use for your payment provider.
1. Create your account and business
- Go to app.tourtify.com/register and create an account. Confirm your email address.
- On Set up your business, enter:
- Business name, for example Himalayan Trails.
- Website address: your free address,
himalayan-trails.tourtify.site. You can add your own domain later. - Currency: the currency you set prices in. You can sell in more currencies later with the Currency switcher.
- Time zone: used for departure times, emails and reports.
- Select Create business. Your 30-day free trial starts now; no card is needed.
2. Add your brand
Open Settings › Business › Business details and upload your logo, choose a brand colour and add your contact details. These appear on your website, emails and PDFs. See Business settings.
3. Create your first tour
- Go to Tours › All tours and select New tour.
- Enter the name, type and where it happens, then fill in the overview, highlights, itinerary, what's included and photos.
- Save as a draft while you work.
Moving from another site? Import a tour from its web address and Tourtify drafts it for you, or import everything from WordPress.
4. Set prices
Add traveller types (Adult, Child, Infant…) and what each pays. You can set a minimum number of travellers per type; seasonal, weekday and early-bird prices come with the Dynamic pricing plugin and automatic group savings with Group discounts. See Pricing and Taxes.
5. Add departure dates
Tell Tourtify when the tour runs and how many seats each departure has. Set a booking cut-off and block dates you can't run. See Departures & availability.
6. Connect payments
Open Settings › Business › Payments and select Connect Stripe. Stripe asks a few questions about your business and bank account, then card payments go straight to you. You can also enable PayPal, Razorpay or Khalti, or take bookings without online payment. See Payments.
Test before you go live
Make a booking on your own website using Stripe's test mode, or create a manual booking to see the emails your travellers receive.
7. Publish
Set the tour's status to Published. It now appears on your website, in your sitemap and in search results on the site. Open your website from the link at the top of the console to check it.
8. Make it yours
- Pick a theme and adjust your home page in Website › Appearance › Customize. See Themes & Theme Builder.
- Connect your own domain such as
www.himalayantrails.com. - Invite your team so staff and guides have their own login.
- Switch on the plugins you need, such as deposits or promo codes.
9. Share your booking site
Add your booking link to your social profiles, Google Business Profile and email signature. Every tour page has its own shareable link with preview images for WhatsApp, Facebook and X.
What happens when the trial ends
Choose a plan from Settings › Business › Plan & usage at any time. If the trial ends without a plan, online booking pauses, but your website content, tours, bookings and customers are kept safe. Pick a plan and bookings resume immediately. See Plans & billing.
