# Frequently asked questions

## Pricing and plans

### Does Tourtify take a commission on bookings?
No. Every plan is a flat monthly or yearly subscription with **0% commission**. Your payment provider charges its normal processing fee, which you pay to them directly.

### Do travellers pay a booking fee?
Not to Tourtify. If you want to charge a fee yourself (for example a park permit), the [Booking & traveller fees](/plugins/booking-fees) plugin adds it as a clear line and includes it in advertised prices.

### Is there a free trial?
Yes: 30 days with no card required. See [Plans & billing](/get-started/plans-and-billing).

### What happens if I stop paying?
Online booking pauses. Your tours, bookings, customers, pages and media are kept, and everything comes back when you choose a plan.

### Can I change plans later?
Yes. Upgrades apply immediately; downgrades apply from your next billing period.

## Payments

### Who holds the money?
You do. Payments go straight into your own Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay or Khalti account. Tourtify never holds your funds, so there are no payout delays from us.

### Can I take deposits?
Yes, on every plan, with automatic balance charges and reminders. See [Deposits](/plugins/deposits). On Growth you can also split the balance into [instalments](/plugins/instalments).

### Can I take bookings without online payment?
Yes. Record cash or bank transfer payments on any booking, create [manual bookings](/bookings/manual-bookings), or set a tour to request-to-book or enquiry-only. See [Booking modes](/tours/booking-modes).

### Which currencies can I sell in?
Any currency your payment provider supports. Your prices are set in your main currency; with the [Currency switcher](/plugins/currency-switcher) you set real prices in more currencies.

## Website

### Do I need a separate website?
No. Tourtify includes a full website with a home page, tour pages, destinations, blog and checkout. You can also keep an existing site and link to your Tourtify tour pages.

### Can I use my own domain?
Yes, on every plan. HTTPS is set up automatically. See [Custom domains](/website/custom-domains).

### Is it good for SEO?
Yes. Pages are fast, server-rendered and include titles, descriptions, Open Graph tags, structured data (tours, breadcrumbs, reviews), a sitemap and redirects. Each tour and page gets a live [SEO score](/website/seo).

### Can I move from WordPress?
Yes. The importer brings WP Travel Engine trips, pages, posts and images with 301 redirects. See [Move from WordPress](/get-started/import-from-wordpress).

## Data and security

### Who owns my data?
You do. Export bookings, customers and reports to CSV whenever you like.

### How is my data protected?
Each business's data is isolated at the database level, traffic is encrypted, payment card details never touch Tourtify's servers, and team members can use two-step sign-in. See [Security & privacy](/help/security).

## Plugins

### What is a plugin?
An optional feature you switch on in **Console › Plugins**, such as waivers or WhatsApp notifications. Your plan decides which plugins you can use. Switching one off keeps its data. See [Plugins overview](/plugins/).

## Support

### How do I get help?
Email support is included on every plan. See [Contact support](./support).
